Israel is often seen as being little more than an "American outpost", where you might as well fly the US flag over the Star of David, given such levels of political control and interference. US elites often see Israel as being little more than a "static aircraft carrier", and Biden wants to impose his maladapted "late-stage" civilisational values. Not too dissimilar from how it looked in Ukraine, until they brought about its destruction on Moscow's border. First a colour revolution, then civil conflict, invasion, destruction and loss.
It seems to be a well-worn road these days...
Just as Israel's liberal/woke elites now signal that they've had enough of the third house as it approaches 75, determined to fight with their native kin in astonishing displays of internecine hatred, it's starting to look like they'd much prefer San Francisco, California etc., under Joe Biden's incompetent rule.
Meanwhile, something significant is taking place in the Middle East, as world order is being remade. The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, and his Saudi and Chinese colleagues, just signed a new agreement to renew diplomatic relations between Riyadh and Tehran in Beijing.
According to reports, the countries will open embassies in two months time. This is important because both the Saudis and Iranians are signalling that China is now the preeminent superpower with which to mediate such agreements. The Iranians and Saudis are looking to renew their relations under Chinese auspices after 7 years of disconnection.
American decay will continue to change the face of the planet as we've known it for most of our lives. Those that have bolted on too hard thereby ceding their sovereignty, will probably suffer the consequences. Those civilisations that loosen strings, will probably be better off as they manage their own affairs in light of the actual environment in which they find themselves in, and the Saudis look like they have done just that.
It didn’t take long: The Chinese Foreign Ministry after the signing of the agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran, warned that the US must end its "illegal military presence" on Syrian territory immediately.
When scholars write up this incredible tipping point in history, Donald Trump could prove to be a brief exception to the rule, an anomalous stop-loss for Western civilisation to Thomas-Cole's inevitable "Course of Empire", where you will find his magnificent paintings:- The Savage State; The Arcadian or Pastoral State; The Consummation of Empire; Destruction; and finally, Desolation.

When you're next in Manhattan, I recommend you go and see them up close because "history is a vast early warning system" and we now seem to have entered the fourth phase of decline before "Desolation".
